Peter Moufarrège: How did you hear about clickworker.com?
Stefan Huegel: It was through the efforts of clickworker.com’s CEO Wolfgang Kitza. He gave us a convincing presentation which sparked our interest in working with clickworker.com.

Moufarrège: Which tasks did you have them do?
Huegel: Numerous tasks. For our brand new Website CFOworld.de we had them enter a lot of our glossary texts which were mainly about the financial sector. That content had high search engine relevance. Then we had them generate so-called product capsules for our TECCHANNEL.de platform. For that task, the Clickworkers gathered together references, tests and reports about products or product categories from available free web content. The biggest challenge of this job was that the information had to be entered into our system in a highly standardized format so that we could then enter it automatically into our Content Management System.

Peter Moufarrège: How did you find out about clickworker.com?
Dr. Klemens Gaida: “I am active in this area, I read a lot. In an article about crowdsourcing I read about clickworker.com’s concept. Then I had the idea to have Clickworkers do many jobs simultaneously such as product tests, community seeding and market studies, then I could kill many birds with one stone.”

Moufarrège: What did clickworker.com do for you?
Dr. Gaida: “They tested a web application specific to the pinbooks.de book search engine and community. In the first part of the test, the Clickworkers tested a function and made suggestions for improvement. In the second part, Clickworkers entered profile information and book content.”

Moufarrège: How would you rate the quality, speed and cost?
Dr. Gaida: “Up until then no one else had ever done a project like this one before. So naturally it required a lot of coordination at first. Above all I very much appreciated the efforts of the clickworker.com team; they quickly got the project running optimally. The turnaround time was very good. We worked together for four weeks. In that time over 500 Clickworkers worked hard on our projects. The cost was right at the top limit of our budget, but we are a young company and don’t have a lot of outside investment yet.”

Dr. Gaida: “We looked to see if, for example, we could perhaps work with an SEO service provider. But that would have only taken care of part of our needs. Dr. Gaida: “At first we had some problems validating the data because we were doing both testing and content generation. There is room for improvement on both our parts.”

Kramberg: “We had the Clickworkers find email addresses for 8500 department chairs and professors that we used to regularly write via postal mail. Now we can contact them by email.”

Moufarrège: How would you rate the quality, speed and cost?
Kramberg: “Speed and price, very good. The job was done in 3 days. Quality was good. We had a few bounce back to us. That was because many websites were not up to date and so the addresses were not correct, or they weren’t able to find them.”

Kramberg: “We could have hired staff to do this job. But they would have taken weeks and besides that they would have quickly lost their motivation. Other than that there aren’t any other real options.”
