Contest: A face for the “Clickworker Lounge”!

And the winner is …the new forum for clickworker.com will go by the name of “Clickworker Lounge” and will soon be open to all Clickworkers.

We are currently working at full speed to provide the “Clickworker Lounge” with all the necessary functions. Before the informative threads relevant to the work at clickworker.com can go online, we are still looking for a creative and unusual avatar that Clickworkers can select as a place holder for their user image in the forum profile.

And this is where you come in: be creative and design the new standard avatar for our forum! And of course there is a bonus in it for you too. The three prize winners can look forward to prize money. In addition, the winner of the contest will be able to admire his/her work in the forum and help make the “Clickworker Lounge” a bit more colorful.

This is how it works:

We are looking for captivating image files in .jpg, .gif or .png formats.

Let your imagination run free, the selection of motif and colors is entirely up to you. However, it ought to correspond to clickworker.com.

The measurements of the images submitted must be 80*80 pixel .

Please send the images by June 17, 2012 with “User name + CW Avatar in the subject field to contest@clickworker.com.

The images must be self-created and they must not infringe the copyright or trademark laws of other persons or organizations (i.e. no copy & paste from the Internet, no use of photos from persons who have not given their permission.)

Between June 19, 2012 and June 24, 2012you can vote for your favorite avatar image on our Facebook page. The image with the most “likes” wins.

The winner can look forward to seeing his/her image as forum avatar, as well as prize money to the amount of 40€.

The second and third places of the contest will also receive a bonus of respectively10€.”

Jetzt soll ich mich stundenlang hinsetzen, um einen Avatar zu erstellen und bekomme dann bestenfalls 40€ dafür? Das entspricht wohl ungefähr dem Verhältnis von Arbeit und Lohn bei Clickworker allgemein, was?

Bei dieser Kampagne geht es hauptsächlich um den Spaßfaktor und darum, einen Beitrag zum neuen Forum zu leisten, der auch anderen Clickworkern zu Gute kommt! Innerhalb von nur wenigen Stunden haben wir schon so viele schöne Avatare erhalten. Ich bezweifle, dass die meisten Clickworker stundenlang daran gesessen haben, um das Bild zu erstellen.

Der Avatar-Kontest soll den Kreativen unter den Clickworkern die Möglichkeit geben, sich auszutoben und hat mit den normalen Arbeiten auf unserer Plattform nichts gemein.

Lieber Pascal,

auch wenn ich Deine Verärgerung verstehen kann ist Dein Beitrag nicht unbedingt konstruktiv. Viele Unternehmen Online-Business stehen gerade erst am Anfang ihrer Entwicklung und ihres Wachstums.

Deshalb sollten die Seitenbetreiber und -nutzer alles daran setzen, diese Möglichkeiten weiterzuentwickeln. Und ein einfacher “rant” als Beitrag gehört sicher nicht dazu.

Denke einfach einmal daran, wie viele “Offline” Chancen in der produzierenden Industrie alleine diese Woche durch das nicht sehr sinnhaltige Gerede über das Ende der Solarförderung zerstört worden sind. Dann würdest Du Unternehmen und Unternehmer mehr schätzen, die etwas neu aufbauen.

Gerne würde ich jetzt einen ähnlichen Wutbeitrag gegen den zuständigen Noch-Bundeswirtschaftsminister verfassen. Dies tue ich dann aber in einem politischen Forum.

Deshalb: Nutze doch die Chance des Entwurfs des Avatars und nehme zusammen mit dem Unternehmen Geschwindigkeit auf.

Hello,

As it is not possible to vote for avatars… or see what is happening if one does not have a FaceBook account – which is an Internet user’s choice and by no means “obligatory.” And many contributors naturally expected to see their contributions, and the contributions of others, on a page on YOUR website. (Or on FaceBook and Twitter, etc.)

I do not think this is a ‘fair’ practice and trust that you will create a page (or pages) on your website before the contest ends, so that contributors (and others) can follow the proceedings (and submit their votes).
