payment

Even though we hope working at clickworker.com is fun, we know you are here mainly to earn some money. The process of getting paid is explained in our FAQ section. Yet we still get the occasional email asking how payment works at clickworker.com. So we’d like to take the time here to explain this again in some detail.

There are three requirements to get paid. First, your Clickworker account needs to have at least 10 Euros/Dollars in it on our payment day (more about that later). Of course lesser amounts are not lost, they will be rolled over to the next month. Also you have to have specified in your profile how you would like to get paid (via PayPal or bank transfer). The third step is that you have correctly entered your tax information. This third requirement is often overlooked. Please make sure to save your settings anytime you are looking at your profile, even if you didn’t make any changes.

So let’s say all three of the above requirements have been filled, what now? On the 7th of every month, clickworker.com calculates which jobs need to get paid out and automatically sends receipts in the form of a PDF that is available on your Clickworker profile. We need to check all accounts and pay them as necessary. This process takes almost a whole day, especially given the recent increases in the number of Clickworkers. So please don’t worry if your receipt is not in your account profile that day, it will be there on the next business day at the latest.

Perhaps the point that most frequently leads to confusion is: which jobs will get paid? The payment run includes all the jobs you completed in the previous month. Specifically all the jobs completed from 12:00 am on the first day of the month to 11:59 and 59 seconds pm on the last day of the month. Also you might receive payment for older jobs that couldn’t be paid previously because of missing account information or the minimum amount had not been reached.

That also means it is possible that on the 7th you might have more than 10 Euros/Dollars in your Clickworker account but you won’t get paid because at the end of the previous month the balance was under 10 Euros.

The question remains, why are the accounts paid on the 7th of the following month? Every job has a verification time of 7 days. During this time it can be cancelled for quality control reasons. So only after this 7 day time period is it 100% complete and ready to be paid. So in order to be able to pay out for jobs that were completed on the last day of the month shortly before midnight, the payment run can’t start until seven days later.

Of course if you still have questions or something is not clear, you can always contact our Support-Team via https://support-workplace.clickworker.com/support/home. Image by Flickr user Tracy

Hallo Herr Marz,

Hi. I just registered but don’t know what my Tax Number is. I am a Canadian Citizen. Thanks.

Daniel Marz 10.09.2010, 09:37:55 Uhr

Hi Dianna, you can just select “no” and leave the form blank. Tax numbers are only needed if you are a freelancer or self employed.

I almost killed all my neurons trying to find out what’s with that tax number. I was lucky to finally find this post, thank you! So I don’t need that number if I’m not a freelancer/self-employed, but still get paid for my work?

Hello, Daniel!I’m fromn Argentina and I’d really appreciate it if you could tell me if I will get paid even if I don’t have a Tax Number right now. I only have a PayPal account. Thanks in advance.
Facundo.

A tax number is only necessary if your are an official freelancer or self employed – and if it is needed at all in your country.

If none of the above is correct in your case, just select option “no” and leave the form field blank.

Hallo!

why i don’t get money for refferal with friend, even the get registered

Daniel Marz 20.06.2013, 10:11:15 Uhr

For the referral bonus to be paid, your friend needs to have earned – and actually been paid – at least 10 EUR / Dollar. Then the bonus is automatically added to your balance.

If your friend already has been paid more than 10 EUR / $ but you still haven’t received your bonus, please ask him to contact us at [email protected] and we will check your case.

Hi
Account balance : EUR 33.50 (payable : EUR 0.00 ), i don’t understand the payable part. Can anyone please explain

mandy 04.09.2014, 09:25:55 Uhr

avatar

Hi Oge,

As you have probably already noticed, there are two different account balances.

Every job is added to your „Account balance“ as soon as you save the job. A job gets payable just after exactly 7 days – regardless of when the jobs is being reviewed or even marked as „completed“.

This means: The payment is first added to „Account balance“ and right after 7 days the amount is added to the „payable balance“. The deviation between your two account balances is composed of all jobs you have completed within the last 7 days, regardless to their processing state.

Jobs which have been rejected during the last 7 days, will be debited from your account as well.

Hi
I live in USA and I don’t know my Tax Number. How can I get paid via paypal?

Daniel Marz 15.01.2015, 10:51:44 Uhr

Hi Jeff, US citizens need to provide their SSN instead of a tax number.

Hi, I’m from Brazil, what do I have to inform on the tax number?

Amelie 28.01.2015, 10:30:23 Uhr

avatar

Hi Camila, A tax number is only needed if you are an official freelancer or self employed. In this case, you should have a number you use when doing your taxes.
To check how it is called in your country, please use the following link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VAT_identification_number. If you are neither freelancer nor self employed, you can select “No” and leave the form field below blank. Each clickworker is self responsible for correct taxing of the earnings achieved at clickworker. As we neither know the tax legislation in your country nor your personal situation, please ask an accountant for proper advice on how to proceed with your earnings as we are not allowed to give legally binding information.
