Clickworker – a secure way to work from home
(written by R.B-W., Germany, Clickworker since February 2010)
A lot of people are looking for jobs that fit their lifestyle. Moms are looking for jobs they can perform without having to neglect their children, handicapped people appreciate being able to find work without being discriminated, and people living abroad are interested in jobs where they can use their native language. This, and a lot more, is what “Humangrid GmbH” or “Clickworker” stands for.
The Internet, however, is full of questionable job offers. Many make offers like “Earn €600 a week from home,” or “make 3,000K, just a little investment needed.” Unfortunately, a lot of these jobs aren´t what they promise or can even be fraudulent, as they ask job seekers to pay up front for “documents”, or “materials” needed for the “job”. These are often just sales strategies concocted by cunning criminals who came up with a new way to make a fast buck. Unfortunately, this strategy works for them – they get rich quickly, while the poor job-seeker is usually losing money on worthless print-outs or purchased goods that are difficult to resell.
How can you distinguish between the good and the bad? Well, for one thing: You should not be asked to make payments for a future job. Googling the offer and looking into forums often helps to avoid fraudulent job offers.
Clickworker offers a new, modern way of working – no long journey to the work place, no car needed, no commute pollution. There is only one thing we need to improve – it needs to spread the world!
Often, when I come across people who are looking for a job I tell them about Clickworker, and am astonished that hardly anybody has heard about it before. The platform needs to grow and to ensure that the public is more aware of its existence, and can partake in this comfortable, modern way of working.
