Your Clickworker Profile – Some Important Information

Newly minted Clickworkers are asked right upon registration to enter information into their profile; information such as their language abilities and interests. Of course anyone can go back and fill this information in at a later time but it is important not to completely forget to do it and leave this information blank. Why not? Qualification tests and jobs are offered based upon the data found in the Clickworker’s profile.

This is actually a new feature of our renovated workplace. Before our renovation in July the data in the profile was only for statistical purposes, they did not influence what the Clickworker was offered. Clickworkers received notice of all available qualification tests even if it called for Spanish, Finnish or Romanian and that Clickworker did not happen to speak Spanish, Finnish or Romanian.

But since then qualification tests have been directly linked to profile data. So for example, only if a person has stated in their profile that they are able to write in English they will get offered qualification tests for writing an English text. For those who have not said they have this skill, that specific qualification test will simply not appear on their page. The same concept applies for all other languages as well.

And what if you have been a Clickworker for a while and have yet to fill out your profile? Then by all means simply log on to your clickworker account. You will see the menu option “Clickworker profile”. One click on that option will bring up the form; simply enter in the missing data. For some fields you have the option of selecting more than one answer. When finished, please don’t forget to save before exiting.

If you find that even though you’ve entered in your language abilities but still are not receiving any jobs relative to those skills, just send a quick email to our support desk.

So, und wenn man nun die Qualifikationen angeboten bekommt und sie auch absolviert, hat man für die betreffenden Aufgaben ja nur einen Einstiegswert, der sich abhängig von der Bewertung der abgelieferten Jobs ja verändert. Könnte man vielleicht in der Tabelle der Absolvierten Qualifikationen auch den aktuellen Wert neben dem Prozentsatz aus der ursprünglichen Qualifikation anzeigen?

Mir ist aufgefallen, dass sich meine Bewertung für deutsch-
sowie englischsprachige Texte, im Juni abgegeben, inzwi-
schen verschlechtert hat. Gibt es dafür eine Erklärung ?

Wenn Sie eine Qualifizierung absolvieren, erhalten Sie danach einen “Startwert” für einen bestimmten Bereich (z.B. das Schreiben englischer Texte). Jeder englische Text, den Sie danach für uns verfassen, wird separat bewertet und kann – je nachdem, wie diese Bewertung ausfällt – zu einer Veränderung des ursprünglichen Wertes führen. Gute Bewertungen führen zu einer Erhöhung, schlechte Bewertungen dagegen zu einer Absenkung. Allerdings werden immer nur die 25 aktuellsten Bewertungen in die Berechnung einbezogen (oder, sofern noch keine 25 vorliegen, alle bis dato erfolgten).

Ihr aktueller Wert ist also immer der Durchschnitt aus den letzten 25 Bewertungen und verändert sich, je nachdem, wie sich die Zusammensetzung dieser 25 Werte ändert.

Do you think you can make authors correcting texts to definitely give feedback if they give anything other than “good”. I keep getting “acceptable”, and losing my % score, and not knowing why. I generally leave comments to my writers, and some authors just seems to click boxes, select from a drop-down list and click next to get a few cents. It seems like they do it out of spite when they receive negative comments.
Can we make it obligatory?

I am a new user and I am unable to navigate from the profile page. I have completed the information however unable to take up any assessment. Please help.

@dhandu:
Please make sure that your profile is complete. If you cannot advance from the profile page, then crucial information is still missing, like information about your languages (native and foreign languages), etc.
