Interview: Diane – between Motorcycling and Clickworker Support

Tell us a little about yourself and how you became a Clickworker:

imgpsh_fullsize I began working at home about 5 to 6 years ago full time. The company I was working for outside the home closed their doors and I needed to find something to do. I was doing surveys and found them to be boring and didn’t bring in much income. I read blog after blog looking for something else to get into. I read about UHRS and decided to give it a try. It was first with another company and when that contract expired, I came to clickworker and have been here ever since.

What you are doing when you are not clickworking?

When I am not clickworking, I am spending time with my granddaughters, riding motorcycles, or just hanging out with friends.

Riding motorcycles? Wow, we would love to see a picture of that! Do you have your own motorcycle?

This is as close as I could find of me riding a bike. I’m taking pictures from the back seat (as usual). I don’t have my own right now, but I may get another bike one day. Right now, I am content riding on the back with my husband.

On clickworker I’m responsible for…

E-mail Support and Forum Moderator for the General Questions and UHRS Projects section of Clickworker Lounge.

Tell us something about your work at clickworker.

My experience with clickworker began in February 2013 and has been my main source of income since. I work the HitApps on UHRS as well as the jobs on clickworker on a daily basis. When I’m not doing that, I’m often moderating on the forum or answering any emails in my queue. I have learned so much while trying to help others. It is truly a great experience.

Are there things you would like other Clickworkers to know?

I would like other Clickworkers to know that we are volunteering our time on the forum answering their questions because we want to help. We don’t know everything, nor do we pretend to, but we are willing to try to find answers for you when possible.

How does your workspace look like?

My workspace is probably not what you would expect. My home office is the corner of my living room. My desk is made into the entertainment center along the wall.

If you are in the middle of the entertainment center, do you often listen to music or watch TV while you are working?

I don’t watch a lot of TV while I work, but I do listen to a lot of music.

What kind of music are you listening to?

Presently I’m listening to a long time favorite of mine. I call it my theme song. It’s called Bootleg Boogie. Feel free to check it out: The Bootleg Boogie

What are your outstanding personal characteristics

I guess if I had to pick an ‘outstanding’ personal characteristic, it would be my love of helping others. It really does bring me joy when I can do something for others.

Talking about characteristics, we know, that you are very creative, when it comes to sewing. Would you like to let your fellow Clickworkers know, what you are making?

I certainly love to make things. I do all sorts of crafts. Here are a couple of my recent crafts. A bag I made out of a t-shirt and a book mark I wove out of yarn.
